How to print individual and bulk cards
00:00: Hi everyone. Matt from Arda here. We're going to be talking through printing today. We'll be printing both individual items and bulk for cards, labels, and breadcrumbs.
00:11: So first, let's go in and take a look at an item that needs to be printed.
00:15: One of the things you need to make sure you have before printing is that a card is created.
00:20: If one card isn't created, you'll see the notification seen here.
00:24: Since we don't have a card for this item, we're going to go ahead and create our first card.
00:30: We now have a card and we can go ahead and print.
00:33: Before going to that, let me show you how to see if your item has a card at a glance by checking the number of cards column for a value of one or greater.
00:45: All right. Now that we have that, let's go ahead and hop back into an item by selecting the item.
00:51: We're going to come over to item details and let's go ahead and take a look at the different templates that we have available to us.
00:58: Cards are what move with the product there your Canon card. Showing minimum quantity, order quantity and location.
01:05: Essentially, they travel with through the different states of kanban.
01:09: Labels are fixed at the items storage location and aid in locating and reserving space for items
01:15: Breadcrumbs are a special case when you establish a supermarket. We'll have another support guide to discuss this
01:27: In each template type, you'll see different card, label, or breadcrumb sizes available.
01:34: Card sizes include half index card and business card stock, which is a bulk printing template requiring at least two items selected.
01:46: Labels size are Quarter-index, half-index, bulk business card stock, and 1x3 (suitable for a thermal label printer)
01:54: Breadcrumb sizes are smaller as well, including 1 by 1, 1 by 3, quarter index, and half index sizes.
02:02: All right, let's go ahead and initially print to a 3 by 5 card. I'm going to update that card size.
02:11: Make sure to press update to save your changes
02:14: There are a couple different ways to print. One is to press the print icon here.
02:20: That's will trigger the creation of a PDF document with your card.
02:24: This will pop up in another tab. If you don't see it, make sure pop-up blockers are not preventing the tab from opening.
02:32: Here is what the 3x5 card will look like.
02:35: Alternatively, if I'm within the item, I can go to print card, print label, or print breadcrumb and print any of those.
02:49: Let's go ahead and print that label.
02:51: That just printed a half index card with that label.
03:00: Now let's talk about bulk printing. First, change the item back to a business card template. We'll use that business card stock and then bulk print cards.
03:16: Select the items, then go to actions and choose print cards.
03:23: As you can see, we've now printed both cards.
03:29: These printouts are sent to your 8.5 by 11 letter paper tray with Avery templates and output onto business cards.
